Kave Builders · Est. Calgary, AB
A Calgary-based custom home builder and luxury renovation studio. We design and build residences that hold up to close inspection, inside the wall and out.
“A house should feel inevitable, as if it could not have been built any other way.”
Kaveh Amiri · Founder & Principal Builder
The Studio
Kave Builders is a boutique construction studio serving Calgary and the surrounding foothills. We take on a limited number of projects each year so that our principals stay on your site, in your drawings, and on your budget, from first shovel to final walk-through.
Every project begins with a fixed scope, a transparent budget, and a schedule you can plan a life around. What follows is craftsmanship that survives without apology, the kind you feel in the weight of a door, the silence of a drawer, the flatness of a wall.
What we do
Every discipline led in-house so that details survive the hand-off between drawing, framing, and finish.
Ground-up custom residences designed and built with your architect or ours. Structural, envelope, millwork, and finishes under one roof.
Down-to-studs transformations for heritage and infill homes across Calgary's inner communities.
Cabinetry, stonework, appliance integration, and lighting orchestrated by a single team of trades.
Spa-grade bathrooms, radiant heat, custom vanities, and stone fabrication engineered for a lifetime.
Full lower-level builds: gyms, wine rooms, theatres, secondary suites and legal nanny suites.
Second-storey additions, garages, envelope upgrades, and site work that respects the original architecture.
Selected work / 01
Mount Royal Residence · Calgary
Book-matched Calibacatta, blackened oak millwork, and unlacquered brass. Every joint mitred, every reveal shadow-lined, a kitchen designed for entertaining at scale.
Selected work / 02
Aspen Estates · Springbank
A double-height great room with a monolithic stone fireplace, walnut casework, and 24-foot glazing that dissolves the boundary between interior and horizon.
Selected work / 03
Britannia · Primary suite
A hand-carved stone tub, radiant heated floors, and a rain shower clad in continuous slabs, a room built for stillness.
Selected work / 04
Elbow Park · Lower level
Backlit onyx bar, climate-controlled wine wall, and dark oak paneling. Every square foot engineered as its own destination.

Craft
Our field teams are salaried, in-house, and long-tenured. That's why our tile lines are straight, our reveals are consistent, and our millwork closes with a whisper. It also means one point of accountability, from the first meeting until years after handover.
The Process
Great work is a function of great sequence. Here is how a Kave project moves from first conversation to handover.
A conversation on site or in our studio. We listen, measure, and agree on scope and budget parameters, no obligation.
Working with your architect (or ours), we produce drawings, a transparent line-item budget, and a firm schedule.
Guided material and finish selections in our library, stone, hardware, plumbing, lighting, and appliances.
Weekly walk-throughs, a dedicated project manager, and a live budget you can see at any time.
A full commissioning walk-through, homeowner manual, and a five-year workmanship warranty backed by ANHW.
Kind words
Kave rebuilt our 1920s Elbow Park home to the studs and delivered a house that feels both entirely new and completely original. Their site was the cleanest we've ever walked.
We interviewed five builders. Only Kave gave us a real budget on day one, and only Kave hit it. Twelve months in, everything still closes like the day we moved in.
A pleasure from first meeting to handover. The project manager was on site daily and the trades knew the drawings cold. It shows in the finished house.
Most Kave projects range from $250,000 kitchen and primary-suite renovations to $8M+ custom homes. We take on a small number of projects each year to protect quality.
Absolutely. We collaborate seamlessly with your design team, or introduce you to trusted Calgary studios if you'd like a recommendation.

Kitchens typically 10 to 14 weeks; whole-home renovations 6 to 10 months; custom homes 12 to 18 months. We commit to a firm schedule with milestone dates in your contract.
